This Week in Photos: August 12, 2011 – Updated!

Here’s a selection, for your Friday viewing pleasure. It’s been a wacky week, and I’m ready to settle down with a chunk of bread, a wedge of cheese, and a glass of white.

Some good stuff in the works – see you next week!

*******UPDATE********

Per popular demand, I’m including a “before” shot, with no lighting, with each photo (when I have them). Take the jump to see ’em!

Our lead photo was actually a blend of a “lit” exposure and a separate one for the windows.

I don't have a "before" for this one....I had already lit 3 other angles on this room, by the time I got to this one I pretty much knew exactly what I needed.

  1. Hi Scott. Great images, as usual. The first house seems to be pretty spectacular – especially those exposed wood beams: really cool.

    Have a great weekend!

    Pedro.

  2. Scott,
Very nice as usual. I would like to see a before and after of a room, would that be possible?

  3. The combination for the lead photo is excellent. Seeing the two exposures helped me to understand why it was so hard for me to try to get that same look with only one shot. Thank you!

  4. The two pictures of the bedroom– a few up from the bottom, the ‘before’ being the first one– why is the ‘after’ picture better? The ‘before’ has more richness, more saturation, more color vibrance, and the after looks more washed out, less contrasty. I understand you’re trying to beautify and pop, and lighten naturally dark areas to wash out the dim parts of some rooms, but this one– I don’t know– I guess I need to learn why the after is better here to the eye, and to the buyer.. Anyone?

  5. I want to see a picture of where your lights are all setup, and I agree with Malia– I am ready for your lighting demonstration video!
